在今天登壽山以前，我一直不喜歡台灣獼猴。
我讀的是有名的中山猴子大學，系所學院又處在山上，猴子最是密集猖狂處。跟猴子交手過幾次，也算是有些心得。
我聽過很多獼猴們在中山撒野的惡行，所以我一直以來對於獼猴們，總是抱著「走開!別惹我!」的態度。
直到今天，我參加了台灣獼猴吱吱黨的活動，對這些猴孫們，有了很多的認識與諒解。
以前猴子生氣地張牙舞爪，我若不是兇回去就是怕得不敢靠近，從沒想過，只要撇個頭裝沒事，衝突如此輕易就化解了；以前當猴子想要掀我的包包，搶我的食物，我必然會大叫激動地和他拉扯，從沒想過，只要我幽幽地站起來，火爆場面即不費力地默默收場；以前當猴子成群衝過來，我鐵定拔腿狂奔遠離他們，從沒想過，原來我可以坐著被他們圍著還開心地餵果實自拍兼玩耍。原來我對猴子的厭惡衝突，都來自不了解與不諒解。
I never liked monkeys because I have heard stories of how they ruined the peace of my campus and I personally had almost gone into fight with the monkey a couple of times. Because all the mess they create and the threat they bring to my treasurous food, I never liked them. But all my dislike to the monkeys have gone away while I was in the tour hiking with monkeys in Shoushan National Park today.
I could never think of having a monkey climb over me and grab my hair like a tree, feed them, take a selfie with them, rub their fur and hold their hand. But I did them all today. And it was definitely the last thing for me to imagine when I was facing them tensely with my breakfast in hand and nervously thinking about showing them who is the boss. I suddenly realized that all my hatred to them all came from the incomprehension to them and the unwillingness to approach them.
